On Ramp classes is a requirement to any new members. We teach you the basics of Crossfit to get you started and ready for group classes.
They are a hour long and includes stretching, warm-up and short but intense workouts averaging 15-20 minutes. They are timed or scored unlike most traditional gym routines, where a certain number of sets or reps are completed without a major concern for time. The workouts are frequently performed with a running clock or some kind of scoring system. You’re more inclined to perform if given a goal to shoot for or someone to keep up with. Your performance is recorded and compared over a period of time to gauge progress. You won’t believe your progress in a short period of time. The workout of the day (WOD) is highly varied. Most workouts will not be repeated within a 1-2 month period. Some may never show up again. Even the movements in your workouts vary greatly from day to day. Not only will your workouts never become monotonous, but the highly-varied nature of CrossFit workouts keep you constantly adapting and therefore improving your fitness like no other exercise program. Its unlikely that you will plateau if you follow the program. It is recommended that you attend 3 times a week to start but the goal should be to attend five days a week with one rest day after every three active days although you will be so hooked, you won’t want a rest day!
For many people our CrossFit group classes will satisfy their need for superior fitness levels, yet the group classes are not the ideal solution to every person and situation. You’ll be working one-on-one with one of our highly qualified coaches. Private training is the most flexible option for people with limited time and busy schedules.
Whether you feel that you need a quick “jump-start” before you begin group classes, have specific goals of weight loss, play a sport, just feel the need for more personalized instruction or if you are just getting back into an exercise program or maybe entirely new to exercise or feel that you have special needs which require personal attention, we can provide the instruction you need and get you well on your way, fast.
