Yoga will resume on Thursday September 6th 2018.
Please park in the lot to the left across the street, in front of our building, or in the garage (we have validation stickers for $1.00). Please DO NOT park in the Loft apartment parking lot. I am in discussions with both Yale and the Loft apartments but in the meantime I don’t want anyone to get the ridiculous sticker on their car or towed.
Affiliate League: get your teams together!!
Starting Mid September and running for 6 weeks CFSP will be organizing The Affiliate League. Teams from different affiliates will be woding together once a week for 6 weeks. Your team will both host and travel. Its a great way to meet new people and show off our awesome gym!! There is both a scaled and a RX division. The teams will be made of two guys and two girls. Registration fee is $160 per team. Cash and other prizes!!
Here is the link to register:
If you want to participate and dont have a team, there will be a sheet at the front desk to sign up and we will make teams up as we go along..
This is a really fun 6 weeks!! The last time I ran the league the RX winners walked away with $1000!!
We are also looking to have a few events for back to school and falling into fitness, and maybe even a competition here in the spring!! The more people involved the better these events are for everyone!!! So look for more information coming in the next few weeks!!
Two fundraisers I’d like to mention:
August 28th: Project Purple, a non profit organization gaining momentum and funds for pancreatic cancer, will be partnering up with the New York Yankees. A portion of each ticket sold will be given back to Project Purple. The first 500 tickets purchased will also receive a Project Purple commemorative hat! To order tickets please see the link below!
September 22nd: CFSP will be closed. We will be WODing at CrossFit Milford that day for their Hydrocephalus fundraiser. We would love a good representation from CFSP. Hydrocephalus is a condition where fluid builds up on the brain. Our good friend and fellow crossfitter Dave Saldanah has Hydrocephalus. He has also beaten the odds… by years. He has proven all of his doctors wrong and continues to crossfit and get stronger everyday. Every day he has is a gift and he is now raising money for an organization that helps with pediatric research of this disease.
A look ahead:
October- Barbells for boobs
November- Kettlebell For Kids
Have an awesome week!!!
