Ian got his 1-21st double under in 18.3!!!
So very proud of CFSP and how many of you are attacking the Open!! It can be intimidating and frustrating, especially when there are movements that we cant do, or weights that are to heavy.
BUT, here are a few things you need to remember:
The Open is a test.
You do the Open to test yourself.
You do the Open to celebrate the things you can do.
You do the Open to expose your weaknesses.
Lets face it, for as long as there are opens there will be burpees and pullups and overhead squats. There will be double-unders and muscle-ups. If you cant do these, then guess what you should be working on for the next 365 days.
The Open is a test. And many tiems we actually exceed what we thought we could do. There have been so many firsts and PR’s in the past three weeks!! They tried and pushed because it was the Open!!!
The Open will tell you and Dan exactly where we are in our fitness. It will help you know what to work on and what he needs to program more of.
The Open is just part of your journey. So if you think the Open is exclusive and not worth doing, your right and wrong. Exclusive because it does a phenomenal job at pointing out your goats, worth doing, also because it does a phenomenal job at pointing out your goats!!
So when this weeks WOD is announced and you can’t do have of it…. you can’t do half of it….YET!!
