For those of you that sit at a desk all day, do you feel sluggish at the end of the day? Are you achy and sore and all you did was sit? This is usually because of poor posture throughout the day. We tend to “let loose” when we are working at our desks. Shoulders slouch and bellys stick out, leaving us feeling all cramped up and sore 8 hours later. Good posture isn’t only good for our overall health, but also in preventing neck, shoulder and back issues!
Good news is that there are a few things you can do daily that can help this!!
- Good posture! Shoulders in line with our hips and back straight. body in alignment.
- Set an alarm if you have to, but get up!!! Walk and stretch for 5-10 minutes each hour.
- Vary your work station. Alternate between sitting and standing. Studies have shown that employees that have standing desks are more productive and feel better at the end of the day.
- Keep coming to CFSP!! Core baby!!
So pay attention to how you sit, make a few little changes, and feel better!!
